About Us

Deri Regeneration Group came together in 1999 and achieved charity status sometime later becoming registered with The Charity Commission for England and Wales.

The Group consists of 100 % volunteers and are the Management Committee of the Community Centre.

The Group initially obtained funding to erect the floodlit Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) with funding from Sportlot.

The next challenge was to transform a waste plot of land into a Memorial Garden – where a Memorial Service is held every year on Remembrance Sunday.

Our final project was to bring educational, social and recreational facilities to the village in the form of a purpose-built Community Centre. This became a reality when funding of £565,000 was obtained and the building was completed in 2007/08. The building is used regularly to house local groups and clubs. Statutory and mandatory bodies  hold training events, seminars etc at the Centre. Family events such as parties and wedding receptions are frequently held at the Centre along with charity events.

We are following the latest guidelines from the Government and CCBC regarding keeping safe.

Please DO NOT attend the Centre if you have any signs or symptoms suggestive of  Covid – 19 or have been advised to self isolate.

Appropriate posters and guidance are visible in the Centre to assist with this along with hand sanitisers and appropriate hard surface wipes.

It will be the choice of the individual  to decide if they wish to wear a face covering .

May we remind you that CCTV is now operational in and around the Centre and may be used for monitoring purposes.
